The old control system of the cheese plant at Cremo was at the end of its useful service life. Increasing failures and production disruptions were becoming a problem, as was getting hold of spare parts.

Our solution

JAG replaced the ageing controller with a modern automation solution. This was completed without impeding the cheesemaker’s operations, which was the central requirement. JAG achieved this through temporarily running the old and new control systems at the same time.

The new automation increases plant efficiency and reduces maintenance needs. It is easy and intuitive to operate thanks to its touchscreens and graphical interfaces. Above all, the new automation solution has avoided the waste of resources that replacing the entire system would have caused.
